The Center for Wound Care is an outpatient center specializing in the treatment of problem wounds. Physicians, nurses, and technicians with advanced training in wound management staff our center. Some of the problem wounds we treat include:

  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Venous ulcers
  • Pressure injuries
  • Arterial ulcers
  • Necrotizing soft tissue infections
  • Delayed radiation injury

To aid in the healing process, the Center for Wound Care also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy. During hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a patient is given 100 percent oxygen in a pressurized environment. The combination of pressure and oxygen increases the amount of oxygen in the bloodstream, sending a breath of “fresh air” into your wound to help in the healing process.

If you have a problem wound, hyperbaric medicine may help. Approved indications for hyperbaric medicine as it relates to wound care include:

  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Necrotizing soft tissue infections
  • Osteomyelitis (refractory)
  • Delayed radiation injury (soft tissue and bony necrosis)
  • Compromised grafts and flaps

At Clark Regional's Center for Wound Care we use hyperbaric oxygen therapy and other advanced modalities as part of an evidenced-based treatment protocol that delivers the highest quality of care. A specialized wound care program will help ensure you benefit from the best treatment for your condition. The sooner you visit our facility, the quicker we can begin to treat your wound.
